Northwell Health is New York State’s largest health care provider and private employer, with 21 hospitals, about 900 outpatient facilities and more than 12,000 affiliated physicians. They care for over two million people annually in the New York metro area and beyond, thanks to philanthropic support from their communities. 87,000 employees – 18,900 nurses and 4,900 employed doctors, including members of Northwell Health Physician Partners – are working to change health care for the better.
Northwell Health chose Occamonics as its ODA integration partner. Within an impressive four-month period, Northwell Health spearheaded the rapid deployment of AskHR, an advanced Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) solution designed to revolutionize its HR operations. This project, which stands as one of the quickest implementations of its scale and scope in ODA history, now serves as a benchmark of efficiency and technological advancement.
AskHR was meticulously developed to include 170 custom intents that span essential HR functions such as Compensation, Benefits, and Recruiting. This robust system offers team members versatile access through multiple platforms including myExperience (HCM), Microsoft Teams, and Northwell Connect (SharePoint), thereby enhancing accessibility and user engagement.
The integration of AskHR with Northwell Health’s existing technology infrastructure was seamless, ensuring that Oracle’s solutions were not only integrated without disrupting existing workflows but also enhanced them, setting a new standard in system interoperability and operational harmony.
Moreover, the AskHR system is equipped with a sophisticated virtual chat feature that efficiently handles routine inquiries and intelligently escalates complex questions to live HR Representatives. Outside of regular operating hours, it autonomously generates Service Request (SR) tickets, guaranteeing that every employee query is addressed promptly, thus maintaining continuous support and demonstrating our commitment to employee satisfaction and engagement.
