Providing a digital assistant capable of understanding and answering in different languages is essential for multinational organisations. It ensures that employees and customers can interact with the digital assistant in their preferred language.

For languages natively supported by ODA, the bot can directly understand user input in these languages. For other languages, a translation service will automatically detect the user’s language and convert their question into English before passing it to the bot. Responses are facilitated by adding the text of the response in each of the desired target languages, or alternatively, using a translation service to translate a single English-language response into the user’s preferred language.

This flexibility allows organisations to choose the method that best fits their needs and resources and enables a hybrid approach where a translation service can be used by default, and a few specific non-English responses can be specified for any intents where you want to override the text generated by the machine-translation.

Seamless integration with HCM and Redwood Pages ensures a user-friendly experience right from the start. The system automatically detects the language set in a user’s profile, allowing the welcome message and all subsequent interactions to be conducted in the user’s preferred language. This feature ensures that users receive consistent and accurate responses in their chosen language, significantly enhancing their overall experience.
