Conditional Messaging (Conditional Answer Intents)
At Occamonics, we understand that one-size-fits-all answers don’t always meet the diverse needs of a global workforce. Our Rich Messaging Framework is designed to offer tailored responses based on a wide array of employee attributes—all with 0 lines of code. This powerful feature ensures that each query is answered with the most relevant and specific information to the user, thus enhancing the overall user experience.
Understanding Answer Intents
Static Answer Intents
These intents return the same response to everyone, providing a consistent, standard answer regardless of who is asking the question.
Dynamic Answer Intents
These intents also provide a uniform response to all users, but the content can dynamically include user-specific properties using a tagging syntax.
Conditional Answer Intents
These intents deliver responses that are tailored to the employee asking the question, considering various attributes such as job grade, business unit, country, union membership, and managerial status.
ii. Example: An Absence Policy intent (named absencePolicy in ODA) can have different responses such as:
-
- absencePolicy.US: For general US employees.
- absencePolicy.US.Mgr: For managers in the US.
- absencePolicy.PT: For general employees in Portugal.
- absencePolicy.PT.Mgr: For managers in Portugal.
With our Conditional Answer Intent framework, creating customized responses becomes straightforward and efficient. This system allows you to define conditions based on any combination of employee attributes. For instance:
- Geographical Variances: Union members in Mexico can receive different policy answers compared to those in the US, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Role-Specific Information: An executive querying travel policies will get different guidelines than a junior employee, reflecting their different entitlements and responsibilities.
- Department-Specific Policies: Employees from different business units or departments receive information tailored to their specific operational guidelines, enhancing relevance and clarity.
The possibilities with our Conditional Answer Intent framework are virtually limitless. Whether addressing union-specific queries, providing role-based travel guidelines, or offering department-specific policy details, this solution ensures precise, context-aware responses. This not only improves user satisfaction but also reduces the need for follow-up questions.
